MEET DANA
(pronounced Daana ElMasree)
Dana is a perfumer (trained at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery), interdisciplinary artist, lecturer, and award-winning fragrance writer.
Her depth and perception are inspired by the sights, scents and sounds of our current landscape as well as her Egyptian/Lebanese cultures.
She continually utilises Jazmin Saraï as a platform to empower her community through representation and collaboration, while also educating her audience on issues of culture and identity, namely and most recently, since 2018, with her work on orientalism within perfumery.
She served as a board member for several years and is currently a teacher at The Institute for Art & Olfaction. She was also a judge for the AO Awards for several years.
She is also a cross-modal artist & collaborator, creating scents across applications for several unique and upscale brands, projects, and installations.
