FAQ

Are your perfumes all-natural?

My perfumes are a thoughtfully selected blend of high-quality essential oils and regulated aroma molecules. I love naturals, I will use them as often as I can. Think of it like analog and digital and natural = chemical!

Also, using naturally-derived components is not always safe for certain animals or the environment (not to mention socioeconomically). Some aroma molecules are more stable and even more sustainable to use!

Perfumers are also regulated by IFRA, which restricts us in using known allergens as well as the mandatory listing of those allergens on packaging. While this is a suggestion, I carefully regulate my perfumes.

Rest assured that everything I use has been thoroughly researched and tested (not on animals!) and that I take this responsibility very seriously. I’m constantly looking into how much more earth-friendly I can make my practice to ensure a smaller environmental footprint and my perfumes are safe for all!

A note on all-natural perfumery: While I wholeheartedly admire the movement, I believe there is a lot of misinformation being passed along as fact and I encourage anybody interested to keep asking the tough questions on what goes in and onto our bodies. Personal and environmental health are of the utmost priority. This is merely my opinion, based on my own research and training as a perfumer.

Are there anything any harmful 'chemicals' in it?

Just perfumers alcohol and the fragrance raw materials, including regulated aroma molecules. I sometimes add DPG in small quantities for stability.

I take the responsibility of putting something on your skin, very seriously.

How do you make your perfume?

My perfumes are entirely handcrafted by me, in small batches. They macerate for 4-6 weeks, then filtered, hand bottled and labelled!

Do you make perfumes for men?

I make perfumes for everyone! They are non-gendered. I have placed a 'scale' for reference but it's entirely subjective. For anyone with skin that can handle perfume and a nose to love it.

How long does it take to fulfill an order?

I'm a team of one, I hand make almost everything to order or in small batches. It takes anywhere from 3-10 days depending on the product. I will clearly state if something is ready for pre-order or when it would be available on each product page. I also now have a back-in-stock notification option when something is sold out.

Why don't you ship everywhere?

Shipping perfume is heavily restricted, and requires specific guidelines, extra fees, and paperwork. Thank you for your understanding!

How long does it take to receive my order?

This has changed drastically since the pandemic. I can't control what happens after your order leaves my studio and dropped off at the post office, no matter the destination. There are delays worldwide.

Choose a tracking option, unfortunately I can't track it for you and give yourself (and me) enough time just in case. Minimum 2 weeks for international shipments.

What is your return and shipping policy?

I do not allow refunds and unfortunately not responsible for anything that occurs after the package leaves the studio. Please keep in mind this is a small business, your orders are taken care of by hand. Your order leaves in good condition, you are responsible for any incoming customs and if the post has let you know you have something waiting, please pick it up. I have been liable for too many shipments even if I have fulfilled everything in good faith.

If a package is stolen, I'm so sorry, I can't replace it for you :(

Refunds are only allowed in cases of extreme damage upon arrival.

PLEASE do not re-sell any Jazmin Saraï perfume, on eBay or Facebook or any other platform. There is no IP in perfumery and it is appreciated that you contact me/us before anything.

How do you get perfume to last longer?

Perfume tenacity on skin really depends on skin type. I suggest prepping your skin with an unscented lotion or oil prior to wearing your perfume.

All of my creations are ‘minimal’, in that are they made with 5-35 ingredients. Most perfumes on the market, especially mass, are made with 100+ ingredients min. Add a base oil or unscented lotion if you have dry skin!
